Description

The Williams Western Precision Muzzleloading Sight is the ultimate sight setup for western hunters in states that do not allow scopes on muzzleloaders. The Precision Muzzleloading Sight includes a front globe sight with fiber optic reticle insert. While globe sights are nothing new to muzzleloading, this sight is a new model that attaches directly to the barrel of modern inline muzzleloaders, without using any dovetail mounts or additional bases. The Williams Globe Front Sight attaches with one screw, directly to the barrel.

With California, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, and Washington all requiring muzzleloading hunters to use open sights, this new sight set is the perfect solution for those hunters looking to stretch their range. This model features a fiber optic insert to offer increased visibility in low light conditions. The fiber optic bead is kept as small as possible while still offering excellent visibility to ensure you can still see your target well at longer distances.

Previously, muzzleloading hunters that wanted this kind of setup would have to buy the Williams WGRS sight, Lyman Front Globe, Williams Dovetail Front Ramp, and Lee Shaver Inserts to achieve this same system, but with additional pieces and a more complicated result. Now, with this sight set from Williams, you can get everything you need in one package, that will fit your gun and load data.

Built out of solid aluminum, the Williams Western Precision Muzzleloader Sights are durable and lightweight. These sights are easy to mount, sight in, and are sure to extend your muzzleloader range and increase accuracy. Included in the package are the required mounting screws, front globe sight, and fiber optic reticle insert.

Precision globe sight

Great design. Optic protected from branches, gun case from hitting fiber optic. Fiber optic small enough in diameter as not cover entire deer at 100 yds

Globe sight upgrade to CVA Acura LR-X.

On the Williams website, it says it isn't compatible, but it worked fine with the following. The barrel diameter of the LR-X is a little more, so I wrapped sandpaper around the barrel and reshaped the base to fit. This dropped the sight about 8-10 thousandths, but that works better anyways as I have trouble getting enough elevation out of the rear sight. I also had to file the screw a touch shorter.

The smaller fiber optic makes longer shots much more precise. There is still enough light through the fiber optic to make twilight shots. I think the LR-X series should come with this an a Williams FP rear sight as standard equipment.

Globe sight

What I have been looking for. Placed it on cva optima v2. The mounting screw was to long had to sand a little off.

Universal fit kit allows you to DIY build a sight for your Optima V2

This globe sight parts kit will allow you to build a long range sight for your rifle. However, to get maximum durability and best fit/finish you will need to shorten the 6-48x3/16 screw by .007 and lap the base to fit the Optima V2 barrel profile flush. You could ignore the .0015 gap under the center of the sight or use filler, both are less than optimal, allowing H2O, dirt and corrosion under the sight.

This sight increases range in two ways. The factory front sight covers approximately 5 MOA@100 yards and is .485 tall. The post in the globe covers approximately 2 MOA@100 yards and is .471 tall (after lapping .4695). Lowering the front sight increases elevation and less MOA coverage, allows the user to increase precision of impact, at distance. It should be noted that the EABCO peep rail has more elevation adjustment than the Williams ACE in the Hole, as the EABCO is a taller rail by approx .082). EABCO also has a gentler slope for finer adjustments. Paired with this globe sight you will be able to obtain maximum Iron sight range.

The green insert will give maximum low-light viewing, whether you are color blind, it will show up bright. The red insert is for brighter light or those sensitive to light as it does not transmit as much light in low-light condition. I am 57, I have tried both and the green simply wins hands down for maximum low-light transmission.

This sight is big, bulky and ugly, unlike steel units, it wins on functionality alone, not beauty!!
