These Hornady™ Bullets come with a specially designed plastic sabot for ease of loading. The Hornady™ Hard Balls are intended for hunting large game where deep penetration and larger blood trails are necessary.
Hornady® Hard Ball Muzzleloader Bullets are created with the same exacting precision as Hornady cold-swaged round balls. Hornady basically took their popular round balls and made them tougher by using a lead alloy hardened with antimony to give the extra hardness and penetrating power needed for thick-skinned or large game. These Hard Ball Bullets feature a .485 round ball wrapped in a special plastic patch that helps improve accuracy and aids in loading.
