How to Build a Muzzleloader Rifle Kit, Part 2: Fitting the Stock

Here at Muzzle-Loaders.com, our customers often call with questions about traditional rifle kits. While they might look complicated at first glance, the process is easily accessible for most laymen. We've put together a step-by-step video series that will take you through the entire process, from taking inventory of your parts to the final assembly.

In Part 2, we carefully modify our kit's stock to solve the three problem areas we discovered in part 1. While the specific problem areas of your stock may be different than ours, don't be afraid to apply the techniques shown here.

Materials/Tools:

  • Carving tools
  • Dremel
  • Flathead screwdriver (small)
  • Sandpaper

Each rifle kit is unique, and some things that aren't issues on our kit may be issues on yours. If you have questions about a kit you're putting together that we don't cover in the series, feel free to call our expert customer service team at 855-236-5000 or let us know in the comments and we'll walk you through it.

At first, muzzleloading can be an overwhelming new sport, but we are here to help you get everything figured out. Whether you're hunting deer in the thick woods, sitting in a stand over a cornfield in the midwest, or chasing elk in the mountains. Our goal is to help you on your muzzleloading adventures!

Of course, for any questions about muzzleloading, you are welcome to call us at 1-855-236-5000, or email us at sales@muzzle-loaders.com.
