Muzzle-Loaders™ Bore Lubricant is a synthetic oil based, biodegradable lubricant that does not contain any petroleum-based oil or additives, making Bore Lube perfectly suited for black powder guns.
Our Bore Lubricant lubricant features advanced high-pressure and anti-wear additives with a polar charge, allowing them to bond directly to metal surfaces. This creates a protective tribo-film that enhances lubrication properties. Under the pressure of firing a patched round through the barrel, this tribo-film embeds into the metal, smoothing the surface for improved performance and longevity of the barrel.
Additionally the formulation includes anti-corrosion and anti-rust additives that also feature a polar charge, allowing them to bond directly to metal surfaces for superior protection. These additives achieve an exceptional 1A rating on the Copper Strip Corrosion Test (ASTM D130), ensuring outstanding resistance against rust and corrosion, especially when shooting with copper jacketed or all copper projectiles.
Bore Lube reacts chemically at a molecular level to the combustion of blackpowder, producing far less tar-like fouling, that keeps your rifle cleaner and allows for greater accuracy. It can also be used to lubricate bullets in the field, plus it is an excellent rust preventative on external surfaces of any firearm.
The Muzzle-Loaders™ Bore Lubricant comes in a 5-oz. squeeze tube for simple field cleaning, or after cleaning your muzzleloader for additional protection. In the end, the Bore Lubricant will continue to season your bore with repeated use.
