Muzzleloader regulations have been updated in the state of Colorado as of January 2018. According to 2 CCR 406-2-#203-A.2, the minimum caliber for elk and moose shall be .50 caliber when hunting with a conical bullet and .54 caliber when hunting with a round ball bullet.

In April 2018, Washington State has passed regulations to include 209 muzzleloader and shotgun primers to be usable during standard muzzleloader season. With these new regulations going into effect, there are a few things to keep in mind to be prepared for these new changes.
