Description

The .50 Caliber PowerBelt™ Paramount ELR Muzzleloader Bullets are revolutionary in design and performance. Made specifically for use with the CVA™ fast-twist muzzleloader rifles, the PowerBelt™ ELR bullets are designed for shooters who require long-range power and accuracy, without compromising ballistic performance. These .50 caliber bullets feature an incredibly high ballistic coefficient for flatter trajectories and higher velocities than other muzzleloader bullets on the market today. The extended ballistic tip is designed to enhance accuracy, ballistic coefficient, as well as proper expansion on game with minimal fragmentation.

The .50 Cal PowerBelt™ ELR full caliber bullets leave little plastic residue behind and can be shot up to eight times before the recommended barrel swab is required. They are exceptionally easy to load due to the bullets being manufactured .001” under bore diameter. The patented PowerBelt™ Snap-On Base gas seal eliminates gas blow-by, and at the same time gives optimal flight performance and down-range accuracy you require. The base of the Paramount bullet is designed for the higher powder volumes out of the Paramount Muzzleloader, offering a tighter gas seal, while still loading significantly easier than comparable sabots.

The .50 Caliber PowerBelt™ Paramount ELR is the pinnacle bullet in the PowerBelt™ line with an aerodynamic-enhanced ultra-smooth finish, fluted, large-diameter gas check for an accuracy-enhanced tight fit, and smaller hollow-point cavity for controlled expansion. Powerbelt™ produces over 7 million muzzleloader bullets annually, making them the largest muzzleloading bullet manufacturer in the world.

Note: To ensure proper seating and to maintain optimal performance of the ELR bullet it is recommended to use the CVA Paramount™ ELR Bullet Loading Tip - AC1722. Purchase the loading tip here: ELR Loading Tip AC1722

Don’t be fooled with your 100 yard groups

I did some load testing at a 100 yard target. The 330 gr bullets grouped at 1” and the 270 gr bullets grouped at 2”. Then I went to 200 yrds and both bullets grouped at 3”. With this test I found stabilizing of the 270gr bullets just took a little further and settled right down and performed perfectly.

Great for long shots

On the Traditions Deerhunter 1:48 twist. Great for shots at 300yrds, only muzzleloader round I've found to put a 1" grouping at that distance. The 330gn round drops more than the 270gn but doesn't get pushed around nearly as much by the wind. I prefer the 330gn for distance due to the lack of wind variations. The 270gn works great out to 300yrds but you definitely need compensate for the wind a lot more. The 270gn is a little floaty compared to the 330gn, and works better on a still day, but not a windy day. Haven't shot the 250gn yet, looking forward to that.

FANTASTIC!!!

I purchased a new cva accura LR-X and did quite a bit of research on loads and bullet combos. I didn't have a ton of time to work up a load so I started with some reccomendations I found online and started with 80 grains weighed of blackhorn with the 330grain ELR bullet. I can't express enough how good this combo shoots. I am getting less than 1in groups at 100yds just off of my bipod. I can't wait to get this gun on a bench this summer and do some experimenting but I really don't think I will be able to do much better. Can't express enough how happy I am with the accuracy. We will see how it does on game but I have high hopes.
