Description

The Traditions™ TPF Hunter Bullet is made by Hornady® for terminal energy penetration. The TPF® Hunter is a jacket hollow-point bullet featuring superb accuracy and balanced expansion. The TPF® is designed for hunting with today's high performance muzzleloaders and combines the performance of a pistol bullet with the challenge of muzzleloader rifle hunting. These bullets come in a 20 pack of .50 caliber sabots with .44 caliber JHP™ 240 grain bullets.

Good bullet, bad sabot

I'm sitting here putting a bandaid on my finger as I sliced it on the sights while trying to load a bullet. I have been using the XTP bullets for years and really like them. But the sabots traditions has matched them with don't fit my TC Omega well. They shoot plenty accurately, but loading is way too tight.

Sabot is way too thick

Thompson Center Impact rifle,and at 85 yards these are all over the place..seriously ...a 3ft spread.
Sabot thickness is inconsistent.
They either almost fall down the barrel,or you need a hammer to pound them down.
Great bullet...terrible sabot.
