The .45/.50 Cal CVA® Paramount VariFlame™ Breech Plug has received an upgrade and now features a tungsten insert. The new tungsten core ensures that the breech plug will have greater longevity under higher pressures. The original .45/.50 cal breech plugs had a tough time holding up with the super magnum charges fired through the Paramount rifles. This new design fixes that issue.

The CVA® Paramount VariFlame™ Breech Plug is specifically designed for use with large rifle primers on .45 and .50 caliber Paramount muzzleloaders. Nothing affects the performance of your muzzleloader more than a clean breech plug for consistent ignition and better overall accuracy. The CVA™ Paramount VariFlame Breech Plug allows the flash-hole to remain debris-free after repeated shots with fine, loose powder propellants. You no longer need to continually clean out the flash hole after each shot.

This .45 & .50 cal CVA™ VariFlame replacement breech plug, is designed to work with all CVA Paramount® muzzleloader rifles. This plug is optimal for whatever type of propellant you choose to use, either loose or pelletized. The VariFlame patented primer adapters allow you to use large rifle primers as igntion with your CVA™ Paramount rifle.
