Excellent product works perfect

lived up to the billing

The traditions Breech Plug and NIpple Wrench did a great job on my 77-50 breech plug , the added length and girth gave the extra ump needed to remove that stubborn plug. Heavy duty and ideal for the task at hand.

Will Work on the Ruger 77-50 with a little help

If you own a Ruger 77-50 muzzleloader you probably know that the Breech Plug tool is no longer made by Ruger. I looked everywhere I could think of and then I came across this tool. I read two reviews about the universal Breech Plug & Nipple wrench fitting the Ruger. One said it fit and the other said it did not. I took the chance and ordered the wrench. It came quickly and I was very pleased with the high quality machine work and deep gun blue finish on the tool. On the weekend I finally got around to trying to remove my breech plug. I quickly found out it did not fit. On closer examination I noticed that there was a small stepped ridge machined into the tool. This was preventing the tool from seating on the plug. This ridge may or may not be there on purpose. After all it is made to primarily fit a Traditions black powder rifle. Long story short, carefully file down the ridges and it will fit on the Ruger breech plug. Take a little off each side and check it as you go. Mine ended up just a little loose because I took off to much all at once. It still fits pretty tight and works great. I couldn't be happier! Well worth the $16 (plus shipping). I submitted this review through goggle but it didn't make it to the muzzle-loaders website.

Very pleased

Took a chance, could not find anywhere. For a Ruger 77/50. I was surprised. Perfect. Very nice tool. Very pleased.

Perfect Fit

Perfect fit. Couldn't get the breech plug (rust/corrosion) out with the flimsy tool that came with my rifle (broke it). Solid built & snug fit to apply torque if needed.
