Description

The Traditions Pursuit™ VAPR XT Scope Package comes with a factory-mounted and bore-sighted 3-9x40mm duplex scope. The Pursuit VAPR XT is a feature-packed muzzleloader that gives you a lot of bang for your buck. This muzzleloader weighs in at just over 5 pounds, and is equipped with a tapered 26" Ultralight Cerakote™ barrel. The lightweight barrel paired with the LT-1 Alloy frame allows for a balanced feel, with an extremely lightweight platform. The Pursuit VAPR™ model comes with a 1:24" fast twist barrel which is designed to properly stabilize modern high-BC muzzleloading bullets.

The Pursuit VAPR™ XT Rifle features a wider forestock to fit better in your hands. With the integrated grips and wider forestock, this gun is sure to stay firm in your hands in the toughest weather conditions. The VAPR™ XT also features a Cerakote™ treated steel barrel that's meant to take the rifle to a new level—making it the closest thing to a “corrosion-proof” muzzleloader that has ever been developed. The Pursuit™ XT Package sports a Mossy Oak™ Break Up Country Camo pattern for optimal concealment.

The Pursuit VAPR™ XT Muzzleloader also features a Quick-T™ Ramrod Handle. This Quick-T™ functions like a palm saver and t-handle all in one, making it easier and more comfortable to load your rifle. The Quick-T™ Ramrod Handle simply screws on the end of your ramrod, allowing easier cleaning and loading your muzzleloader. When not in use, the Quick-T™ simply slides on your ramrod for convenient storage.

Traditions pursuit xt with scope combo

I really like the gun. Its very light, and shoots good.
Pros: light, accurate, easy to load,
Cons: hollow plastic stock, not the best scope, needs a longer ramrod.
I zeroed in the Traditions Pursuit xt, at 50 yards then shot 3 times at 100 and it gave me a 1.5 group. I was shooting pyrodex pellets with smackdown xr bullets. It was very accurate compared to my past muzzleloaders. The ramrod is short. It works to load bullets but if you get a patch or bullet stuck its not long enough to push through the other end of the barrel, it lacks about 1 1/2 inches. it reaches to the breach plug but thats it. The stock is hollow plastic and feels kinda fragile but it wont break. I give this gun a 4 star cause of its accuracy and its ability to load well is excellent. Good gun to at least 175 yards, havent shot past that distance.

Beware of scope mounting

I bought this setup in black and stainless over Christmas and was able to get out to try and sight it in. The scope walked in the rings. It is mounted in the rings with double sided tape that failed to properly lock the scope in and walked during the shot. Beware of this when buying as you may considered a bare option to mount your own scope and rings. Otherwise the trigger and other items functioned well. The only other concern was a fair amount of burrs on the threads to the breech plug upon the initial cleaning of the muzzleloader when it was received.
