Description

Butch's Bore Shine was designed by well known bench rest competitor Butch Fisher, this non-abrasive chemical solvent is specifically designed to remove all forms of bore fouling including copper with an absolute minimum of effort and no damage. It will quickly remove carbon build-up, even in difficult to clean areas like the chamber throat. It also removes lead, wax and even plastic shotgun wad build up.

A significant improvement over conventional solvents, Butch's can also control the copper fouling by pushing a few patches soaked with Butch's prior to shooting. Butch's is safe to use on normal and stainless barrels. It is a true "All in One" Cleaner. Try it and you will never use anything else! Now available in three sizes: 3.75, 8 and 16 ounce bottles.

Since it's introduction in 1999 this product has literally set the market back on its heels. Butch's has received nothing but the highest praise from competitive shooting circles. Butch's is a non-abrasive chemical solvent specifically designed to remove all forms of Bore Fouling including copper with an absolute minimum of effort. It will quickly remove carbon build-up even in that "difficult to clean" throat area. It will easily remove lead, wax and even plastic from shotgun wads. However, unlike most powder solvents, Butch's can also control the copper fouling and by pushing a few patches soaked with Butch's will control copper build-up. Butch's is safe to use on carbon and stainless barrels.

Works Great!

I've used Butch's for years. I'm not sure that it's superior to other high-end ammoniated solvents, but it has always worked for me, so I stick with it. I just bought my third 16-oz. bottle; it took me about a decade of regular use to go through the previous two bottles.

For daily use, I transfer my Butch's from the 16-oz monster (cheaper per ounce to buy) to a little 1-oz plastic oiler bottle with a syringe-type needle tip - I get exactly enough each time, and waste nothing. I have to refill once every month or two.

Great Stuff

This is the best bore solvent. I specifically recommend the big size for value. You will use it all! It is so good at removing copper that it tends to show the copper from your jag and bore brush after the barrel is clean! You will get a feel for this. Quicker than all of the other's that I have tried. Recommended by many match barrel shooters and match barrel makers. Best of all, it is made in Montana!

Smells terrible!

Comes in a glass bottle with an outer plastic container from Midway. Keep the outer plastic container for storage! Don't dare think of opening the bottle indoors or anywhere that's not extremely well ventilated! It seems to clean a little better than Hoppe's #9., but the fumes are worse than anything I've ever used! I would not buy a 16oz bottle size again.
