Rifle came well packed and assembled easily. I mounted and eyeball bore sighted a 1.75-5 scope and installed a muzzle break so everyone gets to enjoy it! 3 shots to get it where I wanted it at 50 yards, next three shots were touching each other at 100 yards. It is simple, accurate, and most important predictable. 80 grains blackhorn 209 weighed, hornady 290 grain ftx bore driver bulllets. The accessories that come with it are also quality products. Would definitely recommend. I found cleaning was easy with blackhorn solvent, then follow up with blackhorn oil and bore conditioner.

First I want to address the first review by Miguel. Obviously, he has no clue how to properly clean a muzzle loader. Sounds like he used standard gun oil and I presume solvents to clean his rifle, which is a huge mistake. Black powder depending on the brand should only be cleaned with hot water and soap and then use approved black powder cleaner and lube like Thompson Bore Butter. . UHGGGGG!!!!
Sorry, now my review for this rifle, it is amazingly accurate, easy to load and unload. You do not have to clear the round by firing it. You unscrew the breach plug and use a ram rod to push it out. easily shoots sub 3" groups at 200 yards with properly worked up loads and bullets.
This gun is so good, I bought another one with a 30" barrel.
Taking both to Utah in November for a trophy elk hunt.

I’ve had this Accura MR-X for 2 hunting seasons now. Have about 100 shots thru it with several range sessions. It is finicky, but very accurate with the right load.

Very good quality build, but I do agree with a previous review. I have been shooting ML’s for 45 years and am meticulous with cleaning. There are several spots that rust continually and require constant attention on this gun. Not sure why, but the Barrel Thread Protector, hammer face, breech face, and firing pin rust all the time. Even when cleaned with hot boiling soapy water and then dryer and oiled.

CVA needs to address those areas and make them with stainless. The rest of the gun has remained perfect finish with no problems.

Bought 6 months ago shot twice and cleaned and oiled. Started rusting and pitting in 3 specific areas friends cva did not same model and purchace date. Cva warranty response to photos and issue was more oil and black powder is corrosive. My TC encore hasn't done this in 7years.
