Description

The Traditions™ Northwest Accelerator Breech Plug is designed to work with loose black powder and black powder supplements. This breech plug replaces your Northwest inline breech plug for most Traditions™ NW Inline Muzzleloaders with a musket cap ignition.

The Traditions® NW Accelerator™ Breech has a unique knurled head, which requires no tools and easily removes in just 3 full rotations. The Northwest Accelerator™ incorporates a built in Musket Cap Nipple slot and the plug's flat face and heavy duty O-ring provides reliable ignition and reduced blow back. The Accelerator Breech Plug™ fits the NW Pursuit™ G4, NW Vortek™, NW Vortek™ Strikerfire, and NW Buckstalker™ models.

Note: This part is not interchangeable with non-Accelerator Northwest Magnum models and not for use with bolt-action, plunger-style, or any non-accelerator models.

*Always use caution when loading a firearm

Does what it says on the box

Fast shipping! If you want to hunt during black powder season in washington, oregon or idaho you will need a NW compliant breech plug. It has to use caps, not shotgun primers and must be 'exposed to the elements'. Just coat the threads in grease and screw it in. Nice and easy.

Causes misfires

Inner edge of non removable nipple too sharp. When loaded with heavy bullet, small round disc of percussion cap plugs up nipple for next shot. When Traditions contacted, said there was an updated part and would send righ out. Part was wrong. When contacted again, next person told me it was not happening. Asked me to send pictures. Has been 3 weeks. No response. I am going to try to bevel the inside lip a little. Traditions has no tradition of helping their customers!
