Traditions St. Louis Hawken .50 Cal

The .50 Cal Hawken I purchased showed up with fast delivery! So impressive in the quality of all the parts and materials. Very impressive on the simplicity of the construction in the build, made easy to understand with the instruction manual. I felt confident with this build and I have never built anything like this ever before. I usually shoot an inline modern muzzle loader but after shooting the Hawken I’m in love!

Impressive Kit

I was somewhat skeptical about the kit, but, I’ve wanted a Hawken gun for 47 years. When I received the kit, I was excited by the quality. I had sent pictures to my sons of the rifle with the pre fitted components. Both my sons were excited and expressed their desire to build one someday.
So, after a couple of days working on the stock, I placed another order for two more kits. I know they will enjoy building one with my grandsons. See, it’s not hard being the cool granddaddy.

He loved it!

I purchased this for my son’s 18th birthday. He spent 2 days building and staining it. The pride he put into the detail was obvious. Then came shooting… he was ecstatic! It shot straight from the very first shot. He is one very happy 18 year old, and I am one very satisfied mother and customer. Customer service was wonderful when I was trying to navigate what supplies I needed to purchase with the gun. All accessories were of good quality. I’m a very satisfied customer and highly recommend this gun and the company.

My St. Louis Hawkins muzzleloader project.

this is a really nice kit. There’s just enough work to put it together that you feel like you’ve done a project. Have yet to stain the wood and stain the barrel let you know when I have that done.
