The Pietta™ 1851 Navy Yank Black Powder Revolver is fully functional replica of the original "Yank" revolver. The Navy Yank revolver was as much a part of the Western trail as the Americans who traveled it. The .36 Caliber New Yank Revolver is built in the tradition of these pioneers.

The 1851 Navy New Yank Revolver features a brass backstrap and a trigger guard modeled after the pistols of the Wild West. Wild Bill Hickok carried a pair with ivory gripped Yank revolvers during his lawman days in Abilene. The New Yank revolver sports a steel frame with case-hardened finish, octagonal barrel and walnut grips.

        I'm a long time modern pistol shooter who always wanted to try black powder shooting. I took the plunge and bought what I thought was the prettiest gun available. When it arrived I was impressed to say the least. I almost wan to frame it on my mantle for display.

        Enjoyed shooting this gun, had a couple of the RWS No. 1075 caps that didn’t fire off the chambers, swapped out to CCI #11’s and lit off every time. And no, this isn't my first gun, have four other Black Powder hand guns, all in .44.

        Very pleased!

        Purchased for a Christmas gift for my son - both of us are quite impressed. Quality, fit, and finish are quite good. I've been shooting cap and ball revolvers since 1971, and although he has not fired it yet, the Pietta's action is at least as smooth and crisp as any I'm familiar with - including the eight we currently have from at least four different builders. AND it is the CORRECT .36 caliber!

        I'm pretty sure I'll be ordering at least one more for myself!

        Bought in 44 cal and was so impressed l purchased this 36 caliber too! Equally impressed. These revolvers are fun to shoot and very attractive just sitting on display. Would buy again.
