Pietta Checkered Finished Grip For 1860 Army & 1861 Navy Revolvers - A1574LC

I purchased the checkered 1860 Army grip for my Pietta revolver to replace my smooth grips. The grips arrived and upon placing them on my revolver, I found that they overlapped the grip frame and did not really fit the Pietta. I am going to have to configure them to my revolver, which will entails removing about 1/16 inch from the grip. I may have to remove wood from where the point of the bottom of the grip fits into the grip frame to get it set down correctly. Other than that, the checkered grips are really nice. Pity about the fit.
