Satisfying Build, Great finished product

First-time muzzle-loader builder, but not new to black powder firearms. Very satisfied with the overall quality of the kit I received. The stock took some work as expected, and allowed me to put a bit of personal flair into the construction of the rifle. I finished it in a dark brown walnut stain and used Tru-Oil for a gloss finish which goes great with the blued barrel and dark furniture. The sights are metal and seem to be decent quality, and add a modern touch to what is otherwise a vintage style rifle, which I personally like. I can't wait to take a deer with it.

Great rifle

This is exactly what I was looking for. I have bad shoulders and longer and heaver rifles were hard for me to handle. This at 6 pounds is easy to shoot with, has great sights and is very accurate. I love it!

First one

This is my first muzzleloader kit. The kit was very easy to put together. I had to do a little chisel work to get the barrel in the right spot and a little file work to even stock with breach. Everything was straight forward instructions were very helpful.
I will be trying another kit soon.

First timer

First time muzzle loader owner. Kit went together very easily with some minor fitting, as to be expected. I creakoted the barrel with titanium grey and am in the process of finishing the stock. Going with red mahogany and a rubbed satin finish. I think it's gonna be a very good looking piece. Will have her in the woods next season for sure. Very likely to build another!
