Description

The CCI™ 209M Primer is a true Magnum Primer designed for heavy charges of slow burning propellants, making it a terrific choice for heavy waterfowl and turkey loads. These 209M Shotshell Primers are more sensitive, easier to seat, and more compatible with progressive and automatic loading equipment than ever before.

The CCI™ 209M primers utilize modern, non-corrosive and non-mercuric initiator mixes to ensure a clean burn and absolute ignition. These Magnum CCI™ Primers are constantly being tested and meticulously improved for field and target loads in all gauges. Primers come load-ready in 100 to 5000 count storage packets.

**Do not exceed the loads displayed in the loading guide. Never mix any two powders regardless of type, brand, or source. Never substitute any smokeless powder for Black Powder or any Black Powder substitute.

Not Super Impressed

I am on my second box of 100. Had some consistency issues a few months ago getting a charge to go off while sighting in. Started from scratch with a fresh bottle of Blackhorn and box of these primers. Went back to the range and it was a dud on the first attempt. Shot a couple primer-only shots, reloaded, and worked fine. Further on in the day I was back to having firing issues. With a fresh bottle of powder, clean breach, the conclusion I come to is inconsistent primers. Sticking with these for this hunting season, but will be looking to change for next year.

Inconsistent

My CVA optima firing pin leaves a very light strike mark on the primer head of these primers, which is probably why I have primers that don't go off. When I use the Winchester 209 primers I see a nice heavy strike mark from firing pin, and never a misfire. I will not buy these again.
