An absolute pleasure to shoot!

This is a great kit for a beginner. I got one and it took a couple of weeks to get it completely finished. It is a very accurate rifle for shooting round patched balls to be sure. 25 grains of FFFG proved to be really accurate in this gun. With a little patience assembling the kit, you'll be glad you got it. It's got deep rifling for shooting the patched balls and it is spot on accurate. It is much more powerful than a 22LR at close range, but plenty good for small game.

good kit

Easy kit to put together. Did not like the ram rod. Wood would have been nicer. Overall a nice kit.

Well done, good fitting all around kit rifle

No problem in the shipping. Arrived in great condition, required just a minimum of sanding on the stock.prior to finish. I was not used to a double set trigger, Going to be fun to shoot. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and fit of the brass pieces on the stock. Kit guns have come a long way.

Awesome rifle

It's a kit gun...a DIY project,so be prepared to do some sanding, maybe a little wood working. But that's why ya bought it!! There's something special about building hour own smokepole, that makes the rifle just that much more fun to own. That said, take your time, dont rush it and you'll end up the owner of a very beautiful rifle, that once you find the load it likes,is a tack driver. Beautiful, solid, well built parts, that fit well together and this rifle is VERY accurate. Not afraid to take small game and wild boar with it. It's that good.

Looks Good

Product arrived as described. Very excited to get started on this with my son after Christmas. Very impressed with the barrel. Very nice rifling. Most parts seem to fit very close, will only require minor inletting. Brass fixtures came with a wonderful polish, and the stock is straight as an arrow. I'll be making another kit purchase very soon. Probably the Kentucky rifle. Get myself familiar with flintlocks.
