Barnes® .50 Caliber Expander™ Hollow Point Muzzleloader Bullets - 250-300 Grains

Glad to see Muzzle Loaders had the 250gr 50 cal Barnes in Stock. This is a must for me when using my inline Black powder. They are very accurate But most of all the knock Down power is the Best!

These are the only bullets I’ve used for years in my Savage!! Best ever and so accurate! Will they ever be available again because I’m not sure what will shoot the same!!

I've been using these as my primary hunting bullet for nearly 2 decades, even in gun season as OH didn't allow rifles. They are deadly. Expand to crazy diameters with a magnum load. I have never had a deer take more than a few steps with these bullets. They expand very well and dump all their energy. I always find the bullet in the back side ribs or shoulder. I run the 250 gr bullets over 3 50/50 pyrodrx pellets in a Knight Original DISC. Shoots clover leaf groups at 100 yards. They are pricey but perform very well.

October 22nd 2022 Pennsylvania hunt Last day of season after holding out on some smaller deer all week and some really sucky weather finally left loose but cold saw some deer coming up to a draw in a field led doe was was what I was looking for launched a 250 grain Barnes expander after the smoke cleared I saw nothing took a walk and 15 feet she was laying well fellers the Barnes bullet did the job again and yes I lost count on how many deer this 250 expander has harvest ed but this old dude knows what work for him just in case I'll give you my load you know the bullet it's riding in a harvester crushrib sabot with 80 grains weighed of blackhorn 209 there's the killer

Once sighted in I am able to shoot 1 inch groups at fifty yards fairly easy. This is with a scope and bench rest of course. I also noticed that the bullets do retain there mass when shot directly into wood. I haven't had the chance to hunt with this ammo yet, but I was impressed with it. They are consistently precise rather fired with 100 gr. Pyrodex pellets or 100 gr. White hots. I have had some different 20 gauge sabot slugs shoot inconsistently in the past even through a rifled barrel. So far, I feel these Barnes Expander hollow point muzzle-loading sabots would easily compare to, if not out shoot the best of the 20 gauge sabots on the market.
