The original lasted through 35 years of use, fingers crossed that this will be the last I’ll need. Looks good and fits the gun perfect.

Poor quality

I do not recommend this product. The fittings on each end are pressure fit. Neither is reinforced with pins or adhesive. I pulled the jag end off with two fingers and no effort whatsoever. I would not stick this down a barrel with a tight-fitting patch. Also, this ramrod is not the correct length for the Cabela's Hawken rifle with the 28 3/8-inch barrel manufactured by Pedersoli. It's about 1.5 inches too long before a jag is threaded onto the end. With a jag, the rod extends well past the end of the barrel when placed in the rod holder. This is odd considering it is advertised for muzzleloaders with 28-inch barrels.
