Description
October Country™ Antique Gun Browning Solution uses a slow rust process to create a traditional brown finish made in the USA. This process takes approximately two to four days to complete and follows a method that has been used by many old time gunsmiths.
The darkness of the finished brown can be varied depending on the number of coats applied. Fewer coats will result in a lighter brown, while additional coats can be applied to gradually create a darker finish. This gives you control over how dark you want the final appearance to be.
For a deep brown finish, seven to eight coats can be applied. This produces a rugged, long lasting finish that will not rub or wash off. The slow rust process takes time to complete, but allows the finish to be built up one coat at a time until the desired darkness is reached.
