Description

The Pietta® 1860 Snub Nose Army Engraved Revolver is a modified version of the original 1860 Army revolver. Trimmed down to feature a short barrel this variation provides a smaller profile and lighter-weight option for easier transportation and carry.

This model features the same classic .44 caliber design with a fluted cylinder and shorter 3 inch barrel. A unique feature of the snub nose is the removed loading lever that typically comes on the full size 1860 Army revolvers. To mitigate for the removed loading lever a brass loading tool comes included with the revolver.

To provide a beautiful and authentic looking finish Pietta® has blued the barrel as well as case hardening the frame, backstrap and trigger guard.

Absolutely love this small revolver.
It's my first foray into muzzleloaders.
Built well and operates smooth far as I can tell.
30gn packs a wallop.
Plan to carry while bow hunting.
Pretty accurate for close range, which is all I need it for.

AWESOME!

I have several Uberti & Pietta guns both BP and cartridge and I love them all, but this just might be my new favorite. Fit, finish & function was excellent right out of the box. Even with the barrel cut off & loading lever missing, this is still a hefty piece of iron. The checkered Birdshead grip really helps keep a secure grip while wielding the gun. I’m sending it to Kirst Konverters for a 45 long colt conversion and then this is my new conceal carry. They even have holsters readily available for this model. Great price and service as always from Muzzle-Loaders.Com!

Fun Black Powder Snubbie

I never thought I would own a snub nose with a bird’s head grip mostly because I like my cap and ball revolvers to be as historically accurate as possible… but after shooting one owned by a friend I went straight home and ordered one. Extremely pleasant to shoot and surprisingly accurate. This is a really fun gun!!
