Description

The Pietta® 1860 Snub Nose Army Engraved Revolver is a modified version of the original 1860 Army revolver. Trimmed down to feature a short barrel this variation provides a smaller profile and lighter-weight option for easier transportation and carry.

This model features the same classic .44 caliber design with a fluted cylinder and shorter 3 inch barrel. A unique feature of the snub nose is the removed loading lever that typically comes on the full size 1860 Army revolvers. To mitigate for the removed loading lever a brass loading tool comes included with the revolver.

To provide a beautiful and authentic looking finish Pietta® has blued the barrel as well as case hardening the frame, backstrap and trigger guard.

Excellent Choice

I really love this Gentleman's Snubby. The checkered birdshead grips are beautiful and fit well in the hand. It also comes with a brass loading stem when using black powder and lead round balls. My .45 Colt conversion cylinder fits it too. Can't wait until Winter is over so I can shoot it at the range.

Like I stepped back 140 years...

Beautiful firearm... Crisp action, clean finish and case hardening... No marring or scratches... Just an overall nice piece and glad I purchased it... Price could be better but what ya gonna do...

Beautiful gun

Love the gun but the factory box one flap was torn off and the Styrofoam case looked like it was stepped on, the shipping container in prefect condition, the torn flap was in the container so it would seem it was damaged prior to shipping

Absolutely love this small revolver.
It's my first foray into muzzleloaders.
Built well and operates smooth far as I can tell.
30gn packs a wallop.
Plan to carry while bow hunting.
Pretty accurate for close range, which is all I need it for.
