It was a drop in fit!

This replacement Pietta Cylinder Stop for my Pietta 1858 Remington dropped right in and worked without any need for fitting or filing. I am very happy! I was concerned because sometimes replacement parts need a bit of work to fit correctly, especially for older guns, but in this case it worked great right from the start.

requires significant filing on the nose to fit (too tall and fat for the cylinder notches for my gun) but works once all that is done.
