Pietta Mainspring - For 1858 New Army Revolvers - 446

I purchased this spring to replace the spring in an Uberti 1858 New Army pistol. The original spring was too weak to detonate the percussion caps. (It took 2 strikes each to fire them.) I read a review about the Pietta version of this pistol, and the reviewer complained about the spring being too strong, and it made the hammer VERY difficult to cock. So I tried this spring, and IT SOLVED my problem! (The Uberti spring, even at maximum tension, DIDN'T fire the caps consistently.)
