Pietta Revolver - 1862 Colt Police Snubnose Thunderer - .44 Caliber - CPPSNBOS44MTLC
The Pietta™ 1862 Colt Police Snubnose Thunderer is a Black Powder Revolver with full steel construction and trigger guard that emulates pistols of the Western frontier. The original Model 1860 that this gun was inspired by was one of the last guns that Col. Samuel Colt produced before his passing in 1862.
Description
The Pietta™ 1862 Colt Police Snubnose Thunderer is modeled after the late-period Colt designs that Colonel Samuel Colt helped perfect. This .44 caliber percussion revolver features a steel frame, 3" barrel and 6 shot fluted cylinder.
From the moment you pick it up, the Pietta 1862 Thunderer feels right. The weight of the full steel frame communicates durability; the case hardening adds depth and contrast to the metalwork; and the fluted cylinders catch the eye with a period-correct flair. Checkered grips provide a confident, non-slip purchase that keeps your hand steady through a string of shots. The 3" barrel keeps the profile compact without sacrificing the classic lines that define Colt style revolvers.
Collectors will appreciate the authentic fit and finish of the gun along with its excellent functionality and durability. Replaceable parts and straightforward percussion operation make maintenance simple allowing for more time shooting and less time cleaning.
