It is only screw, however...

It is only a screw but cleaned up the look of the pistol. The original got damaged, look bad. New one in and gun looks great.

Threads were incomplete

The screw should be threaded all the way to the head so that it can be screwed in all the way in. There is a few hundredths of an inch shoulder that prevents this.
