The Encore ProHunter® FS muzzleloader combines the advanced features of the ProHunter rifle with Thompson/Center’s solid reputation for durability and performance in the field. The ProHunter FS is a Firestick ignition variation of the ProHunter. This model ships with a .50 caliber, 20 or 28-inch muzzleloader barrel and the Encore Prohunter Muzzleloader SST/Flextech Composite Black frame assembly.

This muzzleloader utilizes the Federal® FireStick™ system, which takes the guesswork out of muzzleloading. The FireStick is a plastic capsule that holds pre-measured powder charges. The ability to have identical charges on every shot allows for a more consistent velocity spread, which increases accuracy and dependability. Since the FireSticks are only used once, there is no real cleaning involved in the breech area, which speeds up reloading as well. With this new muzzleloader, all you’ll need to carry in the field are a couple primers, bullets, FireSticks, and a bullet starter! 

The FlexTech™ stock and forend come complete with four energy burners that help to improve handling and recoil, along with a recoil pad that allows the stock to compress slightly wen fired. With the two combined recoil reduction systems, this rifle reduces felt recoil by up to forty-two percent, making it optimal for shooters who want to maintain a stable stance from start to finish. 

Sling Swivel Studs on the forestock and buttstock allow for easy attachment of a sling, providing convenient carrying and transportation in the field.  Comfort continues throughout the rifle with overmolded grip pannels and forestock pannels, assisting in consistent hand placement and allowing you to find the same comfortable position in the field that you would find on the range.

While it does not come set up with a site, the barrel is drilled for either open sights or optics to accommodate all state regulations. The fluted barrel provides a sleek profile, reducing weight and balancing the rifle for optimal handling, while the composite stock also reduces weight, easing your burden while moving. Weighing in at 7 pounds, the Encore Prohunter has a 14 inch length of pull and a crisp trigger designed for pinpoint accuracy.

WeatherShield™ coating makes the rifle 50 times more corrosion resistant than stainless steel and protects the rifle, helping it function properly for longer periods of time. The Thompson/Center Rotating Swing Hammer® allows easy access to the hammer, even if you are using a scope. Equipped with the hand removable accelerated Speed Breech 3™ breech plug. The false muzzle design with counterbored crown enhances accuracy and simplifies loading in the patented Quick Load Accurizor™.
