NIce gun.

I bought this for Muzzle loading season in Massachusetts. The Gun looks great, the fit is acceptable for a mass produced gun. The inlays are flush, but with some small gaps. The lock-up of the barrel wedges are tight, and the triggers are crisp. the set trigger could be shaped a little better as it fits the index a little funny. I don't use it during hunting season, as it clicks when set. Just use the forward trigger for hunting. As for accuracy, Excellent. Out of box had to replace the read sight with a taller one. hit 6 inches high. Once replaced, shot 1 inch groups 2 inches high at 50 yard. At 100 yards still shot 1 inch groups with my eyes, about an inch right and inch low, all with 75 grains of XX black powder and .49 ball with .018 pillow ticking. Only thing I see that could be better is the type of wood used. looks great, just a little soft. seems to dent easily. For me, its a hunting rifle, I can deal with it.

More than I expected!!

I own a Traditions Trapper Pistol, so I had reasonable expectations for the fit and finish of this rifle. It arrived today, and I could not be more pleased beat even my high expectations!!

So, I have looked at this gun on the Traditions website, here and reviews online. Nobody ever mentioned the brass inlays on the lee-side of the Lock and down on the comb. THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!

What a surprise!!

You guys of course fire on all cylinders as usual:)
