Description
The Vortex™ Ranger 1800 Rangefinder provides hunters with a critical edge when out in the field. In the era of long range capable firearms having range finding gear that can perform at distance is an absolute necessity. The Ranger 1800 provides fast, accurate and precise range measurements allowing hunters & shooters to be confident with every shot.
The powerful eye-safe IR laser can range out to 1800 yards on reflective targets, or deer-sized targets up to 900 yards away. Integrated into the ranging system is an inclinometer that measures the relative angle between you and your target and displays an adjusted range distance for you to more accurately calculate your ballistic drop compensation (BDC) and improve your shot accuracy. For purists, the traditional line of sight mode is still available that provides the actual linear distance without compensating for the angle. With a ranging time of less than a second, your choice of spot or scan modes, the option of showing readings in yards or meters, and an auto-off function, the Ranger 1800 rangefinder is fast and easy to use.
The uncluttered illuminated display is easy to read in all light conditions without interfering with the view while a simple 2-button, menu-driven interface makes navigating the system functions and options quick. An adjustable eyepiece focus allows the user to quickly clarify the view and with a long eye relief, eye strain is eliminated. Designed to withstand extreme conditions, the housing is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and fog-proof, with a broad operating temperature range and a slip-resistant armor covering. If you're moving quickly, the Ranger comes with a neck strap and convenient belt clip for fast deployment, or if you're up a stand or in a blind all day, the 1/4"-20 socket on the bottom allows it to be mounted on a support system like a tripod. The compact form of the rangefinder is ergonomically designed to be used one-handed, and with a weight of under half a pound it can be packed and carried all day without fatigue or excessive bulk.
