Description

The Williams™ Western Precision Muzzleloading Globe Sight is the ultimate front globe sight for western hunters in states that do not allow scopes on muzzleloaders. The Precision Muzzleloading Sight includes a Williams Globe front sight as well as 6 different reticle inserts. While globe sights are nothing new to muzzleloading, this sight is a new model that attaches directly to the front of the barrel of modern inline muzzleloaders, without using any dovetail mounts or additional bases. The Williams™ Globe Front Sight attaches with one screw, directly to the barrel.

With California, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, and Washington all requiring muzzleloading hunters to use open sights, this new sight set is the perfect solution for those hunters looking to stretch their range. There are several different reticles included in this pack, with the one that we like the most being a crosshair with an additional sub-tension line below, which gives you a reference point for additional yardages. There are also reticles included for a standard crosshair and several other popular globe sight reticles, but the new BDC-style reticle is the one we anticipate most hunters using.

The bullet drop compensating reticle was designed with a 250-grain bullet and 110 grains of Blackhorn 209 powder. This load has been a standard load for us in the CVA™ Accura muzzleloaders, as well as the Traditions™ Vortek and Thompson/Center™ Triumph muzzleloaders. With this load and the Western Precision Sight set, we recommend zeroing at 100 yards with the main crosshair. This should put the next sub-tension dead-on at 175 yards, and the thick part of the crosshair at 200 yards. Because this may vary from gun to gun, we recommend testing these hold points for your muzzleloader, altitude, and load. We also believe there will be an advantage in sighting in at 50 yards with the main crosshair in certain applications.

Built out of solid aluminum, the Williams™ Western Precision Muzzleloader Globe Sight is durable and lightweight. These sights are easy to mount, sight in, and are sure to extend your muzzleloader range and increase accuracy. Included in the package are the required mounting screws, front globe sight, and six reticle options.

This listing is for the front globe sight ONLY. For the complete sight set please, CLICK HERE.

Great product

The front globe is much easier to see through my peep sight than my previous fiberoptic sight and has a very easy install.

Traditions Shedhorn

I put the Willams front globe sight on my tradition Shedhorn muzzleloader. The sight fits well on the Shedhorn and I like the look of it. I have put about 10 shots out of my muzzleloader with the Willam’s globe sight on it with the crosshairs with the hash mark. I think it takes a little to get used to with how thin the crosshairs are it’s hard to focus on them. I might try one of the other options for the sight. Overall happy with the product.

Works great

Paired it with the EA Brown combo peep/scope rail, mounted on a CVA Optima. Worked great, took a mule deer with it in Colorado and held up to being dragged up and down the mountains.

Accura LR-X 50 Cal

Well made and fits my Accura LR-X 50 Cal. perfectly. I Have only laser sighted, but seems to pair well with the CVA® EABCO PeepRib.

Nice Front Sight

I purchased the hooded front sight to add to my Rem 700 UML as New Mexico decided to make scopes illegal on muzzleloaders. I hope this will allow me to shoot farther than the regular notch and post sights. The front sight installed easily. I have not shot the gun since the install but I do plan to get a fiber optic sight for my hunting gun if I draw a tag.
