Testing the Traditions™ Vortek StrikerFire VAPR LDR Rifle

The Traditions Vortek StrikerFire has been one of the most accurate and feature rich muzzleloaders on the market for many years. Now, new for 2021, Traditions added the 1:24 twist VAPR barrels!

The VAPR barrel gives the Traditions Vortek more ability to stabilize high ballistic coefficient bullets like the PowerBelt ELRs. We were able to get our hands on one of these new Traditions Vortek StrikerFire VAPR LDRs from Traditions and we did not want to waist any time getting it out to the range for some load development.

We tested this muzzleloader with six of our most popular bullets including the PowerBelt ELR and Hornady Bore Driver FTX. Stay tuned to see which bullet performed the best!
