Updated as of 10/1/2025 - Muzzleloaders for deer hunting must be at least .45 caliber, use a single projectile loaded from the muzzle, and be incapable of firing a self-contained cartridge. Telescopic sights are permitted. Additionally, you cannot have a loaded cap on a percussion or in-line muzzleloader, or powder in the pan of a flintlock, in areas where a loaded firearm is prohibited, such as in a vehicle.
"There is no minimum acreage requirement for using a shotgun, muzzleloader, or archery equipment."
