Pietta Review | 44 Cal Pietta™ 1862 Snubnose Army
We're delighted to review the Pietta® 1862 Snubnose Army Revolver for you!
Coulton, our Technical Expert, will guide you through the unique features of this sleek, historic, black powder revolver.
Trimmed down to feature a short barrel, the Snubnose is a modified version of the original 1860 Army revolver. This variation provides a lighter-weight, compact option for easier transportation and carry. It also features the same classic .44 caliber design with a fluted cylinder and shorter 3 inch barrel. A unique feature of the snubnose is that loading lever that typically comes on the full size 1860 Army revolvers has been removed and replaced with an included brass loading tool.
To provide a beautiful and authentic looking finish Pietta® has blued the barrel as well as case hardening the frame, backstrap and trigger guard.
At first, muzzleloading can be an overwhelming new sport, but we are here to help you get everything figured out. Whether you're hunting deer in the thick woods, sitting in a stand over a cornfield in the midwest, or chasing elk in the mountains. Our goal is to help you on your muzzleloading adventures!
Of course, for any questions about muzzleloading, you are welcome to call us at 1-855-236-5000, or email us at sales@muzzle-loaders.com.
