Updated as of 4/6/2020 - “MUZZLELOADING RIFLE AND MUZZLELOADING SHOTGUN means a primitive weapon that is loaded exclusively from the muzzle and has a permanent breech plug. When the plug is removed the gun is rendered inoperable, or incapable of firing modern-day ammunition. Deer may only be hunted with a muzzleloader that is .38 caliber or larger."
