Updated as of 3/18/2020 -  To hunt deer in Alabama Muzzleloaders and Black Powder Handguns must be a minimum of .40 caliber or larger.

Muzzleloaders of any caliber may be used to hunt: Bobcat, Groundhog, Unprotected Wildlife, Fox, Coyote, Feral Swing & Other Game Birds or Animals other than Deer.
