How to size Thor™ Bullets to my barrel
Thor Bullet Sizing
One of the most commonly asked questions that we get is, how do I know which size of Thor bullets to order for my muzzleloader? The answer is quite simple and intuitive. First, you need to order a Thor Bullets sizing pack, which you can order here: Sizing Pack. Once you receive your sizing pack in the mail, simply follow the Thor sizing Instructions below.

There are two methods to find the best bullet fit - 10-30 pounds of pressure to push the bullet down from the muzzle end.
1. Remove breech plug
- Start with smallest bullet first
- If bullet slides down the barrel go to next size up
- Bullet should take 10-30 pounds of push pressure; similar to a sabot
- Inspect bullet to make sure there has been some grooving from the rifling on the cup.
2. Shoot sample
- Start with smallest bullet first
- If bullet slides down the barrel go to next size up
- Bullet should take 10-30 pounds of pus pressure; similar to a sabot
- Make sure bullet is seated tight against powder
