What is the star capper?

This tool is designed to quickly and reliably prime black powder revolvers that use #10 percussion nipples. It holds 6 #10 percussion caps which makes reloading faster while out at the range or at a competition. The Star Cappers come in a three or six pack so you are able to have up to 18-36 shots pre-capped and ready to go.

Another important feature to note is that this tool can be used while the cylinder is still in the frame of the revolver or it can be used on spare cylinders outside of the frame of the pistol. This allows you to have plenty of shorts primed and ready to go.

How Does It Work?

To use the Star Capper gently press the #10 percussion caps into the slots on the end of each arm making sure to have the open end of the cap facing out.

Hold the star capper over the percussion nipple and rotate to align the cap directly with the nipple. Next you will want to firmly press the capper down to seat the cap securely onto the nipple. Then you can rotate the capper and the cylinder and repeat the process until all nipples have been primed.
