New CVA Optima Muzzleloader Unveiled in 2025!

The CVA Optima series has been the flagship mid-range muzzleloader since its conception back in 2002 and it continues to provide high end accuracy at an affordable price with new models unveiled in 2025! The new 2025 CVA Optima has a few key features that sets it apart from its predecessor and continues to provide innovations in performance, usability, and comfort.

The Optima boasts a 200+ yard range with a 26" fluted stainless steel barrel. The barrel is fully drilled and tapped for open sights or a scope mount and each model has two different options with installed open sights or picatinny rail. Whether you are hunting in a western state with open sights or glassing over a corn field, the Optima has different options to match your hunting style or regulations. Every Optima comes standard with a QRBP breech plug that requires no tools to loosen as well as a PalmSaver ramrod that fits underneath the barrel.

The biggest change for the new Optima is the redesigned buttstock and forestock. The buttstock now features a semi-vertical grip with an adjustable comb height. The adjustable comb includes two cheek risers at .25" and .50". The stock also features an adjustable length of pull with a removable 1" spacer to fully customize your muzzleloader to what is the most comfortable fit. The ambidextrous hammer spur and palm swell also makes sure that the Optima is set up for either right or left-handed shooters.

The new Optima is available in three different styles that very slightly between barrel finish and camo pattern. The three options include a stainless steel barrel with black stock, a black nitride barrel with OD Green stock, and a black nitride barrel with Realtree Legacy stock. All three stock options are available with Williams Fiber Optic Sights (WFOS), picatinny rail, or KonusPro 3-9x40 BDC Reticle scope combo.
