Exclusive Pre-Release Footage for New CVA Optima | SHOT Show 2025 w/ Jason Sebo!

The CVA Optima was just revealed on May 20th 2025, but we have uncovered some sneak peek footage from SHOT Show 2025 in January. Muzzle-Loaders.com had the opportunity to meet with Jason Sebo with CVA to go over the new CVA Optima features.

The Optima series has been the most popular CVA muzzleloader in terms of price, quality, performance, and accuracy and these new models follow the same principal. The Optima excels out to 200 yards, but can be stretched out to longer distances with proper range time and skill. The Optima boasts a 26" fluted stainless steel barrel and the new OD Green stock and Realtree Legacy stock models feature a nitride coated barrel, which provides the most corrosive-proof treatment on the market.

The forend and buttstock have been redesigned for a more comfortable grip and the buttstock now features a semi-vertical grip with an adjustable comb height. The adjustable comb includes two cheek risers at .25" and .50". The stock also features an adjustable length of pull with a removable 1" spacer to fully customize your muzzleloader to what is the most comfortable fit. The ambidextrous hammer spur and palm swell also makes sure that the Optima is set up for either right or left-handed shooters.
